Finally got a minute...
Posted at 03:55:37 on 2004-10-05

This tour has been the busiest and most successful tour to date, which I guess may be my lame excuse for not writing in earlier. We have been on the road for about a month now, and have one week to go. The list of people I would like to thank is far too long to mention here, but I promise to contact each person directly. There are so many people whose efforts have made this tour one of the greatest experiences I have ever had, and one of the best things to happen to Viv since Matt's haircut. As hard as it gets sometimes to persevere, the momentum that the band is building cannot be ignored...Special thanks go out tour crew! Gina, Cathy, and Jamie have helped to make our show into something truly unforgettable.
I am writing this entry in Madison, CT, from the house I grew up in! Special props out to my mom...she has never stopped believing in me, and encouraging me to follow through...
We've got some great shows coming up on the West Coast(looking forward to Seattle), and we are already planning our return tour to New England in the spring. We hope to visit all the schools we played in the fall, and we look forward to seeing some of our new friends again!

Peace, and please don't forget to vote.

Thank You Pittsburgh

Happy Valentine's Day to y'all...

Just played at Carnegie-Mellon University. Met some great people and are looking forward to playing here again...special thanks to Chris S., Matt + all the guys in the sound crew who helped us out. You rock!

We have benn staying at the Howe-Childs Gate House for the last two days...this might be the greatest place we have ever stayed at. It was originally built in 1861, and is the oldest wood-frame house in Pittsburgh...restored in 2001. My room has a fireplace.
Extra super-special thanks to Angela S. for hooking us up with the show at Chatham College (great attendence...hello Katy, Rebecca, Amber...2 shows!).
Props to Ken and Shannon at La Roche for a killer gig in the student center...Shannon, you are a powerhouse promoter! We arrived at La Roche and found a van with "Viv" written in huge letters on it, a massive banner hanging from some building, and saturation postering...the greatest promotional effort we have seen to date. This all added to a fantastic show, and we are very much looking forward to meeting all of our La Roche friends again.
Anyway, we came thru the last 4 days without a scratch, and were able to play some rocking shows to boot. We are working on some new material, and I am very excited that we were able to try some of the new stuff on the road.
Heading back to San Franciosco in the morning...also many thanks to everyone who came to our CD-release party last week at the Great American Music Hall...it was a really special night for Viv and all of our extended family.

See you next time around,
Pie

Goodnight, G.

Looking forward, looking back...

Pie here.
I just wanted to take a minute to say thank God for everyone involved with Viv and Vaam. By this, I mean everyone who gives so much of their time and effort to be a part of something incredible. It is only by working with so much love and care that we are able to create something that is larger than ourselves.
We have many great times ahead- new album, winter tour, pay-per-view special...Looking forward to the mayhem!!

the dc metro...

In an effort to promote world peace, I want to send a forgiving gesture to the a-hole who almost broke my wrist while he was running to catch HIS train on the DC metro on Tuesday...no problem.

We had a great week at NACA...very psyched to tour this spring. Props out to all the colleges and universities that showed up and decided that original music was a top priority at their school...

Went to CMJ today...hope to continue promoting our Mountain Dew Amp Six Pack CD compilation...the project is kickin' some ass.

Flying back to San Francisco tomorrow, and going baack into the studio to record some more tracks for our next album. We are taking special care to make sure these songs are treated JUST right...

Rudden says "Wolf".

Stevie says "Huh?"

Goodnight, G.

Just got back from a great gig at the Foundry in Denver...thanks to Matthew Moon and everyone at the venue, except for assface who hit our van with a pint glass. Also thanks to Matt and Mike...can't wait to get back and play again.

"Wolf" says Rudden.

Very excited about Gothic Theater show tomorrow night...hope to see Kim and Dave.

Good Night, G.

Downtown Denver
Posted at 05:35:02 on 2003-09-24

Went into the metro area last nite on a group mission....sampled the local suds as well. It seems at this point that everybody owes everybody a round...except for Semo. In addition to being profound, Mr. Semo is extremely punctual.

2 shows tomorrow...Pike's Peak, and then a Viv And A Movie at UC Denver. Very psyched to continue working on our newer material.

Still trying to discover Bowman's kryptonite.

ghost in the machine...

Hello everyone...my first entry on this tour's diary...been running around, and can finally catch up.
We are in Denver today...flew in last night from NYC. Huge thanks to everyone on the first leg of our school tour, especially to all the students who signed up for our street team...look forward to seeing you again. Special thanks to Monica, Northport, Miggie, Anne, Bryan, Ed, and Chan for making everything run so smoothly.
Our gig today at Arapahoe CC was pretty interesting...almost as if the electrical system was possessed. Came thru with flying colors, though...Looking forward to playing our Colorado gigs. The band is sounding great, and everyone is healthy(physically).

I'm listening to Chief teach Rudden how to play "Enter Sandman" on the guitar...

Gotta go.
