Flawed
Ten Toes Over

Up-and-coming bands are finally starting to catch on to what it takes to go large and grab listeners’ ears by creating a radio-friendly sound that is comparable to some of the big hitters. Since 2001, ViV has been rocking the streets of SF, with a style that is considered to be “power pop,” capturing a familiar sound to that of Radiohead and Coldplay. With light clean vocals of Matt Ostrander, delightful harmonies of Erik Semo on bass and Pie on guitar and violin, ViV has an enjoyably smooth taste comparable to a nice cool glass of Sierra Nevada. From songs about Bob Dylan giving the good advice in “Bob Dylan Said,” to personal songs that you could see playing to your loved one like “Out of the Rain” and “Shine,” Flawed’s nine-track lineup flows without a second thought. Flawed might be for you if you are looking for some uplifting and soothing songs.
